Nice place and a simpatico presentation. How did you fee after eating that giant piece of chocolate cake?
Felt pretty great. The cake was fantastic. But Pink Champagne variety even better!
❤️ 💗 💕
60 years ago when I ran track in high school in Santa Barbara, it was always encouraging to walk into a meet past school buses that said “SLO” on the sides.
Perfect timing! thanks for the list of places to check out. We’re going there next week during our Spring Break road trip!
Hello! I’m the girl from Bubblegum Alley you took photos of with my friend. Love the shot and the video! Glad to see you’re still traveling as well😄
Thanks for posing!
This is great, thank you both for all the details!
Happy to help! Love SLO.

I went to Cal Poly back in the early 1980’s and lived in SLO for four years. Upon graduating, I didn’t want to leave, and got a job in Monterey, which I hated, then moved to Ventura where I currently still live. Even though it has been almost 40 years since I left there, the town, which has seen some growth and changes, still has the same vibe as it did when I lived there. I still get up there for school activities and just to visit. One of the major attractions in the Madonna Inn is the waterfall urinal in the men’s restroom downstairs. Many men liked to take their wives or girlfriends into the restroom to show them. The men would always go in before they take the women in there to make sure the coast is clear. SLO also has an amazing farmer’s market every Thursday evening where they close a section of Higuera St. to vehicles. They have booths for produce and specialty items made in SLO, many food booths, entertainment and other things. They started the farmer’s market back in 1984, and it is still going strong to this day. Many other cities and towns throughout the US use the same concept for their own towns. Bubble Gum alley is disgusting, but it is still fun to take people there and get their reactions.
Bubblegum alley is nasty.
